Top Fashion Trends This Week

Hey guys, this is a new series I'm going to be starting up. In this series I'll be reviewing the top items for the previous week, mainly accessories such as "head", "neck", "shoulder", "front", and "waist". I'm starting this because I love fashion and creating, and also so we can all stay trendy! Without wasting any more time lets get into it.

Head

Grunge and Hip-Hop is in. Grunge isn't a super common word so for my readers out there who haven't heard it before, think of black and grey hats, often distressed or ripped. Anyways, while that is the "style", I'll key you guys in to the types of items, not style.

For Grunge you're going to be seeing a lot of items this week like Fur Hoods, some Bandanas, Ushankas, and other clothing items with spikes or silver accents.

As mentioned, Hip-Hop/Streetwear is a trending style this week as well. In the head category you're going to be seeing a lot of Flatbill Hats, Denim Hats, Backwards Hats, Sunglasses, Tilted Hats, and some Headphones.

Neck

Grunge and Hip-Hop are still in here, but we also have the addition of Gothic.

To match your grunge headwear from earlier you'll find lots of fur collars and distressed black scarfs.

For Hip-Hop we have lots of heavy, thick chains this week. Think "iced out" or "Cuban Link".

Gothic is emerging here with LOTS of cross necklaces. If you know Chrome Hearts, this is it. This is the prevailing neck accessory this week. Additionally in the theme you'll find some chokers or black bows.

Shoulder

CHATBUBBLES. And it isn't even close. As you can't really see chat bubbles in real life.. I'm going to call this style "Meta". Chatbubbles are overwhelmingly destroying the charts this week for Shoulder items.

Waist

Grunge and Streetwear are absolutely killing it here.

Popular Grunge items include distressed bags and purses, with a wide variety of subcategories.

Streetwear is overall king here though, you're going to be finding all types of bags, sidebags, crossbody bags, totes, vests and little keychains or trinkets stylized as pop culture references like Labubu.

Real quick sidenote here, the Cursed Flames item is trending. WHY?? This item is so old and doesn't look great in my opinion (I bought this when it released in 2019 too lol). It is completely random this week as no other similar items are trending. I'm assuming it is because it emits particles, and also a little bit with the retro style reemerging.

Overall

I think it is safe to say, you're definitely going to be trendy if you stick to darker colors, often black. Don't be afraid to highlight your outfits accessories like bags, key chains, and silver necklaces. A little burst of color like seen with the Labubu can work well too if you do it right.
